Who should attend:
The children’s workforce, including: school professionals with vested interest in the mental health and wellbeing of children and youth working in diverse settings (schools, hospitals, clinics, community-based settings), e.g. special and general education teachers, RTLBs, counsellors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, SENCOs, teaching support staff, community youth providers, speech and language therapists, and school administrators.
Presenter: Susan Bazyk
PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA is Professor Emerita of the Occupational Therapy Program at Cleveland State University where she taught for 34 years. In addition to authoring the book, Mental health promotion, prevention, and intervention with children and youth: A guiding framework for occupational therapy (2011), Dr. Bazyk has authored 30 journal articles and several book chapters. She is the project director of Every Moment Counts: Promoting Mental Health Throughout the Day – a multi-pronged mental health promotion initiative originally funded by the Ohio Department of Education.
Susan is able to travel to NZ thanks to a Fulbright Scholarship.
