Core Concepts of Infant and Whānau Mental Health

in Kaikohe on Wednesday 11 November 2020, 9:00am - 3:30pm



This training day is for Northland mental health and AOD workers; to enhance skills and knowledge of the core concepts underpinning mental health and wellbeing for pēpi, parents, adults, and whānau. This will be of benefit to adult as well as child and youth workers.

Topics include:

  • attachment
  • normal child development and when to be concerned
  • the role of the parent
  • Whānau Whai Ora - keeping babies in mind when working with parents

Supporting Parents Healthy Children (SPHC)

This training will provide participants with an overview of the core concepts underpinning our work with individuals and whānau.
This knowledge and the associated skills are essential when working to enhance the wellbeing of whānau.
