Overview of the training

The workshop will cover Neuropsychological assessment for adults and older adults from referral to formulation and recommendations. Participants will learn how to effectively conduct a neuropsychological assessment.

At the end of this workshop participants will know more about the variety of tests currently most frequently used in the assessment, how to select tests and frequently used validity measures. Some ethical and legal issues arising during the assessment, which assessors need to be aware of, will be addressed.  Making a sense and integrating quantitative and qualitative information obtained during the assessment will be discussed and demonstrated through practical examples.  Questions like cognitive screening versus comprehensive neuropsychological assessment will be talked about. Using information gained through neuropsychological assessment to shape further treatment and management, translating assessment results into everyday life will be discussed. Ecologically friendly approach to assessment will be conferred.

About the presenter

Snezana Mitrovic-Tosovic, Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist, with many years of experience in neuropsychological assessment in a variety of settings across different clients age and clinical presentations. Currently she provides assessments in the Memory Clinic, in-patient and out-patient settings and clinical/neuropsychological supervision.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided and included in the fee. Certificates of attendance are provided to all attendees who complete the workshop.

Cancellation Policy

If the workshop is cancelled due to lack of enrolments, a full refund will be given. 
Refund requests received more than one week before the workshop will be refunded in full, requests received less than one week will incur a 50% charge. 

No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Workshop.
