Supporting Parents/Whānau through Covid-19 Lockdown eLearning 9 April 2020

Werry Workforce Whāraurau are proud to be able to offer a series of online trainings. These eLearning Forums provide an opportunity for ongoing education and connection for the ICAMH, AOD, NGO and PHO sectors

This is a narrated PowerPoint presentation on Supporting Parents/Whānau during the COVID-19 pandemic alert level system. While it was compiled and presented during Alert Level 4 the principles apply to supporting parents through all of the Levels. It introduces and highlights the importance and basic principles of Parental Wellbeing which ultimately enables caregivers to extend care to their children in a connected, positive, secure way.

The presentation also looks at the needs of children during this time and identifies some behaviours that parents/caregivers may be noticing within their whānau. It includes direct links to multiple agencies that may be useful to both practitioners and parents when seeking additional information/ideas/guidance.
