The Team: What we do
We are seeking a senior registered nurse, with experience in leadership, for this 1 FTE permanent clinical nurse specialist position.
Our Community Mental Health team services from Rakaia to the Rangitata River and across to the Southern Alps. Covering this large geographical area, we provide assessment, treatment and support services to adults in the community, including assessment and interventions for urgent or crisis mental health needs.
The Role: Where you fit in

As a role model you will engage with nursing staff and members of the Multi-Disciplinary team to ensure effective relationships are developed and maintained between the community and both inpatient services and the NGO sector. Commitment to post graduate study is an essential component of this role, either having completed or being on the post graduate pathway to complete within an agreed timeframe, a relevant Post Graduate Diploma.
This is a permanent, 1 FTE position.
This position also includes one to two nights per week on-call from 4:30 pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday. You will be a duty Authorised Officer (DAO) or be prepared to train. This is an excellent opportunity to join and provide leadership in a rural community team.
