Clinical Psychologist (Fixed Term) - Paediatric Consult Liaison Team, Starship Child Health
Here is the opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the Paediatric Consult Liaison team at Starship Child Health.
- Fixed-term role for one year commencing end of October 2019
- Part-time position (32 hours per week)

Starship Child Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre committed to delivering whānau-centered care that focuses on the needs of the child first, and values whānau (family) as an important member of the care team. We seek to lead New Zealand in paediatric service delivery, in the provision of pre and post-graduate nursing education, and through the building of our reputation as a national centre of excellence in paediatrics.
As a Clinical Psychologist you will be based in the Consult Liaison Department of Starship but work across the hospital to provide a high quality and evidence based clinical psychological service for children with medical and surgical conditions. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to specialist’s information and knowledge to the planning of care. You will treat patients from across the central Auckland region; those referred to us from around New Zealand and also the Pacific region.
This is a Monday – Friday fixed-term position for 1 year to cover a team members parental leave. Ideally the successful candidate will work 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) however we are keen to hear from those interested and available to work 24+ hours per week (0.6 FTE or more).
