About the roles

Position 1: Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - 1.0FTE – 80 hrs a fortnight.

CAMHS is a regional service for children and youth with serious mental health disorders up to aged 18 years.

We are looking for Clinical Psychologist, with at least 2-years postgraduate experience within a CAMHS or acute mental health setting to provide specialist psychology interventions to infants, children, adolescents and their families. There will be an emphasis on cognitive testing, including complex work with refugee families and complex trauma. 

An important aspect to this role is inter-agency work including working with community services such as Oranga Tamariki, schools, GPs and local Maori networks.


Position 2Adult Integrated Community Mental Health Teams - 0.7FTE - 56 hrs a fortnight. 

In this role you will be working with adult clients assisting them to maintain and developing a wide range of skills to strengthen their process of recovery and will work closely with referrers and colleagues from other agencies. 

We welcome applications from experienced clinicians as well as recently qualified graduates for this part-time position. Some experience using psychometric and neuropsychological assessment tools is preferred.

About you

You will be a NZ registered Clinical Psychologist, who holds postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (or overseas equivalent), and registration in the Clinical Scope of Practice, with up-to-date knowledge of current research findings relating to major mental health issues and trends.

You will be an active participant in our multidisciplinary team and will be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines. You will engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients, their support networks and other agencies and service providers.
