When you work with the Canterbury District Health Board, you’re part of something very special. We plan, fund and deliver health services to the almost 600,000 New Zealanders that live in the Canterbury region. Our primary goal is to put people at the heart of everything we do.

The Team: What we do

The North Community Mental Health team provides assessment and treatment to adults with mental illness aged 18 – 65 through a case management and crisis resolution model. We work closely with our consumers’ families/ whanau, our inpatient services, and wider community supports.

The Role: Where you fit in

As a professional and highly motivated nurse, who displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm for this area of work, you will enjoy being part of a committed and diverse multidisciplinary team.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, and in collaboration with our clients and their family/whanau, primary care, community supports and our inpatient team, you will have an ability to effectively manage and prioritise a caseload. This involves working with your clients in establishing and helping them progress along their uniquely-tailored treatment plans, and also, where necessary, responding to crises whilst involving the team appropriately.
