About the Opportunity / About You

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Mental Health Professional to fill this role working with children and adolescents (and their families), with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. If you have experience in the provision of psychotherapy on an individual or group basis and you’re passionate with an unwavering belief in people’s recovery - then you might just be the one for us! 

You’ll work with a broad-based generic caseload, utilising your mental health experience with excellent assessment and intervention skills.  As someone committed to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery, you’ll also appreciate that we offer ongoing tailored professional development specific to our Mental Health team.

You should be a confident and effective communicator, truly passionate about your work!

You must be a Registered Health Professional, with a current APC - Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker with experience

The successful candidate will take part in an on-call after hour’s roster (dependent on FTE) to support the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health Team crisis service.  You will be expected to be available for this on-call roster up to 9 shifts a month and will receive specialist Duly Authorised Officer (Mental Health Act 1992 and amendments) training. Remuneration for these duties is in addition to the usual salary scale for the specific role in question.
