Registered Mental Health Professional - ICAFS
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service (ICAFS) in the Hutt Valley. The role is 32 hours per week.
We are looking for enthusiastic registered Mental Health Professionals (NZ registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, or Psychologist) with experience working in child and adolescent mental health. You will be based in our energetic multidisciplinary Kaiārahi team working with 0 – 18 year olds and their families/ whānau. The Kaiārahi team (20 FTE approx.) is the ‘partnership team’ for ICAFS, providing individual, whānau, and group treatments and extended assessments following initial assessment. You will provide assessment and interventions to enable positive outcomes for children and young people presenting with moderate to severe mental health needs. ICAFS provide Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Family Therapy (with a screening team) so we are especially interested in clinicians with these skills.
- Be expected to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure provision of appropriate and evidence based care
- Have excellent clinical and case management skills and be comfortable managing risk
- Have the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the DHB, the wider mental health services, and community agencies (is integral)
