Registered Nurse – Older Persons Mental Health (Ward AG)

The Team: What we do 

Ward AG is part of Older Persons Mental Health, based at Burwood Hospital. The team is on the lookout for an experienced registered nurse to join them, on a 1 FTE, permanent basis. The roster follows a rotating pattern of 4 days on, 2 days off, encompassing morning, afternoon and night shifts. 


The Role: Where you fit in

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse (psychiatric or comprehensive) with a current NZ practicing certificate. You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills. Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role. Experience working in the area of Mental Health preferred, however not essential.

Desirable skills for this position are:

  • Initiative, solution focused with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks.
  • Motivated and flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to engage people at all levels

This is a permanent, 1 FTE position.
