Registered Nurses - Surgical Day Procedure Unit - Ashburton


 

  • X2 0.4 FTE, fixed term, part time (16 hours) positions available:

- One 12 month position (05/08/2019 to 02/08/2020) with potential for extension

  • - One 2+ month position (asap start to 06/10/2019)
  • Must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, and have a current APC.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.

The Team: What we do 

The Surgical Day Procedure Unit is a dynamic, patient focused unit that provides endoscopy and other gastrointestinal services to the Ashburton and rural population. It currently has the opportunity for Registered Nurses to join their team for a fixed term position.

The Role: Where you fit in

As a Nurse within the unit, your previous medical or surgical experience and technical abilities, will help you to provide care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will be required to work rostered and rotating shifts, Monday to Friday once you have achieved competent endoscopy nursing skills.
